The Paul Tanner Memorial Football Tournament
Carpenter Surveyors join the field for the Paul Tanner Memorial Football Tournament with RICS Matrics.
On Thursday 5th September, Carpenter Surveyors joined the annual Paul Tanner Memorial 5-a-side Football Tournament at Goals Star City! Although we didn’t win the trophy, everyone had a great time and was smiling throughout.
RICS Matrics Birmingham hosts this tournament every year in memory of Paul Tanner, a young surveyor who was tragically killed in 2005 in the Jewellery Quarter. Each year we aim to raise money for a charity and this year, we will again be raising money for LionHeart RICS, the charity for RICS professionals alongside our work with Ecologi.
There was a great atmosphere as families and colleagues cheered on the teams.
About LionHeart
LionHeart is the independent charity for RICS professionals, past and present, and their families.
Its aim is quite simple: to be there for members whenever life throws them a curve ball, from the beginning of their career as an APC candidate or apprentice, right through to retirement.
The confidential and expert support it provides aims to get people through life's unexpected challenges. This might range from financial support if needed, support for your health and wellbeing, such as free professional counselling, work-related support and coaching, plus access to legal advice. We can also help if you or one of your loved ones becomes seriously ill or suffers an accident.
Its support extends to past and present RICS members, and their partners and dependants. This includes APC candidates, apprentices, some surveying students, as well as surveyors who have retired or are no longer practising.
LionHeart also support global RICS members, no matter where they are based.
