A detailed report is one of the most valuable tools you can have when buying a Listed Building. It is essential to understand a building's condition and any repairs that need to be made.

Carpenters Heritage Division specialises in the inspection and survey of historic houses. It is staffed by surveyors who have considerable experience in surveying a broad range of historic properties.

Acquiring a historic house is for most people a rewarding and happy experience. For some people, however, the experience can be quite the opposite. Whilst people wish to own a historic house for the right reasons, there are many pitfalls and potential problems which can turn those wishes into a costly mistake. We’re here to help.

Valuation underpins all property decision making. Whether you’re a national bank, property developer, or a private buyer. Value is important. Key Information: Herefordshire

  • Herefordshire lies just south of the West Midlands sandwiched between Worcestershire and the breathtaking Brecon Beacons of Wales to the west. The county's rolling pastures, rural charm and rustic image belies a host of healthy and vibrant businesses. Numerous diverse communities thrive on their distinct and individual character to give Herefordshire a uniqueness which is valued by residents, visitors and those who work in the county.

Business and commerce need transport and communication links to survive and thrive. These exist, but they're not obtrusive. Behind the tranquil peace which exudes from every nook and cranny lies the county's motorway, rail links, and an ever-growing communication infrastructure.

Railway stations at Hereford, Leominster and Ledbury provide regular services to all major cities in the UK - London can be reached in just over three hours by high speed train. The M5, M50 and nearby M4 provide excellent access to the UK and you can be at Birmingham, Cardiff or Bristol airports in about an hour and a half. For tourist information about the county see the Visit Herefordshire website.

Herefordshire is bordered by five other counties: Shropshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Powys and Monmouthshire. The websites for the councils that border Herefordshire are:

    Shropshire Council
